Could you send a picture or website of a crumb quilt? Have seen it mentioned before. Sounds like a good way to use up the little pieces that I just can't seem to toss away.

I seldom buy them as I always need more fabric than what's in a FQ.

I'm a newbie and I would like to try FQ, but don't know what to do with them. Where do I find the patterns "Turning 20 and Yellow brick road so I can work with the FQ and see if I like them. I love to read what you all write about, it is soooo much help.

I think a crumb quilt just means use anything. Any size, any shape, any color. Or you can try this:

No They make good potholders and I even used them to make the circle of life quilt circles.

A FQ is never enough for me either. I always think, what if I mis-cut? Then I need more and then I'm stuck. AND with my luck I'd go back to the store and they won't have any more of it. UGGGHHH! Just thinking about that drives me nuts.

Thank you; this was very helpful. I didn't know those tiny little pieces that I just can't seem to throw away are called crumbs. I certainly should have made the connection.

I'm not a fat quarter fan unless I'm working on something that needs small pieces of lots of different fabrics.

It just seems like I always use(or need or want) more that little piece. I guess I'd rather just buy a yard or two or 3

wish I could buy them. :D God bless. Penny

FQs are just the right size for BOMs...and the free quilt block patterns offered at Connecting Threads will tell you how many blocks you can get from your required FQs...
