My son also wanted a 'plain' quilt. Used the spinning star block, red and blue and white background. He liked it so much he gave it to his fiancee. Don't know whether to be flattered or not. But at least she uses it. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I'm always surprised by my guys that way. My son prefers fleece because it's soft and cosy. Those are his words.
