Does anyone have a good pattern size

for a bear paw block. I have been looking for one on the net and all the measurements are so different. I would like it to come out to a 12 to 14 inch square, it doesn't have to be exact, with all four bear paws combined. I hate odd numbers like seven eighths or four fifths or five eighths etc. when measuring and cutting out my quilt pieces. Why not 2 and three quarters, or half sizes or forth sizes. Why does it all have to be so odd. I guess I am not a good math person but it seems like the simpler the better, at least to me.

Any time I need a pattern for something, I go to Quilters Cache. That site is amazing. There is something for everyone. The only problem I have is not spending all day looking at everything.
