Does anyone have a Singer Futura SES1000 ?
I ordered one today and I'm having second thoughts. I originally wanted the Futura Quartet, but with all the software I wanted to go along with it...it was a good deal more expensive.
The Quartet does multi-hooping and has a larger embroidery area that I thought I'd like. So, SES owners, did I make a mistake? |
I have the SES 2000 and after I bought it I saw the Quartet and was bummed because I would have liked the larger hoop and multi hooping ability but all in all I really like the 2000. For the most part, I don't regret it because I really don't do enough embroidery to warrant it--it's like my mom used to say "Your eyes are bigger than your stomach!"--I wanted it just because. I say, if you think you'll be doing embroidery that you will need multi hooping capabilities, cancel your order and start saving for the Quartet.

Thanks for the reply. You have made me feel a little better. I actually won't be doing any heavy duty embroidery either and I'm sure whatever I bought, the next generation machine would still make me drool ;)
That, plus the extra $350 it would have cost me helps a lot! |
I have the Futura CE150 & love it for embroidery...it's really good for piecing also.

I have the Futura CE-200, one of the first embroidery machines out...and I love it. I'm kinda like everyone else, though, I don't do a whole lot of embroidering, but when I want it, I want it! I make all my quilt labels on it and do some quilts and some t-shirts as well. I think you'll be happy with yours when you get it!
