Does anyone know? Can service/cleaning alerts be turned off on a sewing machine?

I'm hoping some of you that own a Bernina can tell me. I have been very careful with my 640 Artista to always do frequent cleanings/oiling routinely in between alerts and have it serviced or cleaned when the machine messages came up. At each machine prompted cleaning/oiling or service I have logged the dates for my records. Several months ago I noticed that it had been a while since the cleaning/service message came up. Upon checking my records I see that it has gone much much longer than the normal time between alerts. I know that the alerts are based on the amount of hours/ stitches logged but my amount of sewing hasn't really changed. I had been doing my normal cleaning anyway & had taken it in for its "yearly check up with the Bernina people about a year ago and am wondering if they may have somehow turned off something inside that sends the alerts? This is all I can imagine to explain why it never sends cleaning/service alert messages anymore. Any thoughts anyone has on this would be appreciated.

Have you checked your user manual, I had a look on the net and there is some info on page 106, but not having this machine myself I don't know how relevant it is to your problem. Hope you can sort it out. You could contact Bernina for advice.
