I love the pink on at the bottom. Love the name too, i thought it was applique till i saw the picture.

Jinny Beyer's The Quilter's Album of Blocks & Borders - page 65- has two names for it. 1)"Godey Design" from Godey's Lady's Book, 1858, and 2)Swamp Patch. I just call it an Ohio Star Variation and have used it too many times to remember since I started quilting (and researching) in 1980.
