Does anyone know the name of this block

I'm trying to find out the name of this block. I'm not a good artist at all, but this should help.
I saw it on the Sewing With Nancy show, this morning. It was in the background of a segment on Ovarian Cancer Quilt Project and I would like to make one. I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks |
Interesting block! You have 2 different angles going on, so I'm guessing there might be additional seams & it's paper pieced. In addition to this post, I would send an email to Sewing with Nancy. Be sure to include the program #.

I am with Paper Princess, send an email to the show or Nancy herself.
I think it looks like some sort of compass star, I searched and couldn't find anything remotely similar. |
Don't know the name of the block but this looks like it would require
English Paper Piecing because of the angles. |
Yes, check her blog. I saw something I wanted to see and was able to find it thru her blog that is on her website.

Do check with Nancy. I looked at this and concluded that it was probably a variant on the basic Lemoyne Star shape, with 4 45 degree diamonds and 4 triangles that are half that shape. With either paper piecing or templates, it should not be terribly hard to reproduce.

Love this block, would love to find a paper piecing pattern, anyone?

Using the Morning Stars block from quilterscache.com you could easily get what you are looking for. Applique a circle in the center of each. There are templates included, and this could be done without paper piecing.

Agree, shouldn't be hard to reprodyce. And I am thinking it is probably old enough to not worry about copyright infringement
