Well since you came up with all of your own measurements and method for construction I would think that it is your pattern and North Dakota Garden is a wonderful name. Very pretty quilt.

MimiBug123 07-10-2012 11:14 AM

I think I would just call it "Beautiful"! Great quilt and your color choices are fabulous!

jeanharville 07-10-2012 11:53 AM

Very pretty and you are very talented. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for all the compliments, ladies! I really enjoyed shopping and picking fabrics and the thinking process of what to make. My craftswoman's skill isn't very good. I can't make complicated patterns. I can play colors a little. :)

Thanks again!

North Dakota Garden sounds like a very good description of this wonderful quilt

You did a spectacular job for someone who has only been quilting for two years. Nice colours too, purple is my favourite. I would also be interested in knowing the name of the quilt pattern. Thank you for sharing.

Tazz 07-10-2012 05:22 PM

Don't know the name but its a beautiful quilt and the border is very nice.

Maralyn 07-10-2012 05:33 PM

I think you may have used the pattern I posted in April. http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...n-t185572.html You added several more borders, which are very nice.

The free quilt pattern is Clematis by Clothworks. http://www.clothworks.com/collection.asp?ID=327

Very nice! The fabrics you've chosen are beautiful. I'm afraid I don't know if there's a pattern name. Your pieced border is such a lovely extra touch! Beautiful!

natalieg 07-10-2012 09:17 PM

I just finished making this one last night, only different border.

I looked at the quilterscache.com There were a couple that were close, but not exactly the same. One was called odds and ends II (I think it is pg 55), and another, hole in the barn door p 24. Neither of them are an exact match. You might as well name it what ever you like.

MacThayer 07-10-2012 09:52 PM

That is one gorgeous quilt! Nice work! If you didn't get it from a pattern that had a name, I wouldn't worry about the name. I'd just name it myself.

gollytwo 07-11-2012 02:25 AM

Your quilt name is perfect, it definitely suits your design - and the sashing gives it a very faint hint of the Oriental - how wonderful to combine your new homeland and your original homeland - a quilt that is uniquely yours for everyone to enjoy! Thank you for showing us this fabulous work of art.

lubberfarmgirl 07-11-2012 08:04 AM

Beautiful! I'd love to make one myself!

Everose 07-11-2012 08:09 AM

Your quilt is awesome. " North Dakota Garden" sounds great - most people don't think we are pretty up here. BUT WE ARE. From another ND quilter.

Sounds like a great name it really looks like a garden. It is beautiful.

Phannie1 07-17-2012 02:27 PM

Very Nice. I like the Name, North Dakota Gardens, I lived there as a kid. There was a lady that had beautiful gardens. She was the one who introduced me to gladolas and petunias. I was about 9. that was in 1968.
