I saw this at the quilt show today and just love it, all they could tell me it was from a BOM kit?? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have no idea, but it sure is pretty.

rainsprite 08-22-2013 02:50 PM

I don't recognize it but love it, please let us know if you find out. Thank you.

Quilter 65 08-22-2013 03:04 PM

I will be watching to see if anyone knows for that sure is pretty!

Tartan 08-22-2013 03:31 PM

I think they started with the center Red Work panel and added blocks they liked around it. The Red Work pattern is: Smiley Tree by Jane Davidson.

The snowmen applique blocks like they are from Pearl Louise Designs. I know they had a few different snowmen block of the months over the years.

Amythyst02 08-23-2013 05:10 AM

That is adorable...I will keep watching to see if we find out more info on it.

fangman 08-23-2013 07:48 AM

It's beautiful.

You learn something new every day, I didn't know that Pear Louise Designs had applique patterns. I have a few of the red work designs, haven't done them yet but someday. I also really like the pattern.

Where did you find the pattern? I've been looking and can't find it.

Is this the fabric? Looks like the penguins are fussy cut using this fabric.

buddy'smom 08-24-2013 12:42 AM

This is the site for the pattern.

Thank you, that's not it but I appreciate your looking for me. It's an applique pattern but no luck so far.

I'm not familiar with the pattern but I do like it.

SumikoKeel 08-24-2013 01:16 AM

That is so pretty:)

I found the pattern!! Tartan was right. The quilter chose blocks to place around the center panel of her quilt. The pattern can be bought as a kit or as a BOM.

Here's the site: http://webstore.quiltropolis.net/sto...&Item_ID=47533

I also found a blog of a LAQ who quilted this for a customer:

I agree with BeckySt, the snowmen look like a Pearl Louise design. If you are ever in Rapid City, stopping at her store, is a must.

Hopefully this will work (there are smiling snowmen faces in the tree!)

Thanks so much, I think this pattern is just a little bit different. She did purchase different BOM kits and stitched them onto the border. I just love it. Thanks so much everyone for all your help. I so appreciate it.

Smiley Tree by Jane Davidson is what I googled and found pattern for $14, then I went to Pearl Louise's site (size 13 X 19) and found 3 patterns together for only $8. Maybe it is the size, I didn't check that out on the "Smiley Tree" site.. I looked closer at the Pearl Louise stitchery and I don't think it is "Smiley Tree" but something similar, sorry I jumped the gun on that one!

buddy'smom 08-25-2013 10:29 PM

This is the pattern for 14.00. Thank you.
