Hello? Wrapped in Red, which is on the cover (and inside, of course) of the December 2011 issue of AP&Q, is not at all the same as the quilt the OP linked to. The only thing they have in common is that they're both red and white. The biggest clue...there is not one single red square in Wrapped in Red.

I did contact the blog owner but didn't hear from her.

And thanks JenniePenny, I ordered the book last night and am eager to look at it. I'm a beginner and really need a full set of instructions instead of just a block layout to be able to make the quilt. I just heard from the blog owner and she said that the quilt maker cannot remember where she got the patter. Alas, I'll just keep looking!

Wrapped in Red doesn't look like the same quilt. Beautiful, but not the one I'm looking for.

The pattern (also called Stepping Stones, like the block) is from the Encyclopedia of Classic Quilt Patterns from Leisure Arts.

It was made by a QB member last year.

There is very little difference in the quilt you show and the one in the book, except for the border, and the use of one additional color.

I found a link http://www.quilterscache.com/B/Black...autyBlock.html

It is a blog I'd write her and see if she can find out. I think it was a customer so she could ask.

Thank you everyone! Many of you found the blocks/patterns in books so I've ordered three used books online! I'm excited to try and make this. Thank you!!

I made this quilt in green, and it went together very easily. It's the Stepping Stones pattern from Encyclopedia of Classic Quilt Patterns, by Leisure Arts.
