Does anyone know a pattern for...
My sister was at a growers market (she lives in another state), there was a lady there selling these. My DS was trying to describe this little place mat that you fold up and it ties with a ribbon, inside is a napkin made out of fabric. The placemat is for an individual person, so like you could take it with you to work and place it out during your lunch. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?? Would anyone have a pattern for it? Thank you.

Ok, no pattern for it but here is one for sale on etsy.com that I think would be really easy to make your own pattern from http://www.etsy.com/listing/61962348...eusable-napkin

That sounds like a pattern in Stitch by Stitch: Learning to Sew, One Project at a Time by Deborah Moebes. http://www.amazon.com/Stitch-Learnin...itch+by+stitch
I loved working through the projects in her book. If you didn't want to purchase the pattern, you might be able to borrow the book from your library. I borrowed it from the library and fell in love with the book and ended up buying my own copy because I didn't want to take it back when my time was up. |

Not too long ago, someone posted on here some pics of those, I think the name of the thread was "picnic anyone" or sumpin like that.

I posted photos of mine recently. It is so easy... take two 18" squares, serge or zig-zag together. add tie string in one corner. That's IT!
