Does anyone know this pattern?

Trying to help an old friend. Repairing this. His grandmother made it. Fabrics possibly from 1940s or 50s.

I would call it a more elaborate version of Kansas City Dugout. The piecing within the blocks surrounding the square make it extra special.

Thank you! I think you could be right. Would make some sense, since it was made in Missouri, and in a family known for their love of baseball!

Thank you. It belongs to a friend. I'm just trying to stabilize it and document it for him.

I'm thinking more 1940's on fabrics. I have some from that era thst belonged to my grandmother. What do you think?
|
yes that deep pink and yellow, even in the plaid, screams 30s/40s to me.
|
Thank you for confirming my thoughts. One of her daughters thought perhaps 1950s , but I don't think so.
|
Agree. If it was made in the 50s, it was made with 30s fabrics. I just got a huge box of 80s/90s fabrics (all sorts of burgundy and hunter greens and navy) from an estate. This one, though, is almost all of those 30s/40s pastels so likely not made in the 50s with old fabrics.
|
Thanks. I rhink so too. I plan to document as 30's -40's era fabrics, most likely made c 1940, unless we get anything solid from family.
