I am asking the board if they have any idea what a quilt is
called when you take a jelly roll sew the strips end to end. Then cut off 18". And start bringing the end to the top of the strip and sew, cut, repeat, until you have the size you want. I know you just randomly pick up the strips out of the pile. Anyone have a name for this? |
Try seaching for jelly roll quilt patterns or if you are just looking here is one from the board,
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-44258-1.htm or sometimes they are called tube quilts...hope this helps |

Thanks Bellaboo that was what I was trying to think of sheeish......thanks for the link

I believe the 18" comes off only the first strip in the group, not when you turn them end to end to meet. By doing so, you end up with the seams coming at random positionings.
