That is an invisable zipper foot, probably quite old.

I made the prom gowns this year for my twin grand daughters and of course the zippers were invisible zippers. I had not sewns clothes in quite a while, so I forgot that you had to have a special foot. Did not know if I still had the foot and could not find it. We live about one hour one way from a store, so I improvised and yes, you can put an invisible zipper in without the foot. Don't ask how it goes, but seeing this picture, I know, I have that foot somewhere. p.s. The gowns came out beautiful.

You can put in an invisible zipper with a pin tuck foot or a small piping foot. Oh and yes that is a very old inisible zipper foot.

Yup...that's an invisible zipper foot. Don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather put in a regular zipper anyday over an invisible one...I never did master that trick.

thank you all for your input! everyone so far is voting on it being an old zipper foot... which is what I thought it might be... thanks!!!!

I had one back in the late 60s! It was for invisible zippers and worked great!

It is only one piece from a set of Unique Zipper parts for installing invisible zippers. I purchased mine in the early 70s. Still have it and have not used it in years, LOL. The copyright date on the instructions is 1967.
