no clue but it is really cool looking. make sure to post when you do find out. try an antique shop. or one of those auction house places. they might have know.

ptquilts 12-16-2011 06:58 AM

looks like a bullet.

amandasgramma 12-16-2011 07:01 AM

it IS the logo for an ammunition place............http://geairsoft.com/INDEX-old.htm

Interesting but also don't know what it is. Reminds me of when we cleaned my parents house out. We found things that we had no idea what they were or what they were for.

does the bottom unscrew? probably just a novelty thing. but don't lose it you just never know. You could contact a gun shop.

This is the logo for a company that sponsors war games. Sort of like paintball, but they use little pellets and airguns.

My husband told me Gold Eagle is a brand of bullet/shotgun shells.

thimblebug6000 12-16-2011 09:04 AM

That particular eagle head looks more like the one used on German flags/jewellry/etc.

MissSandra 12-16-2011 09:07 AM

reminds me of a bullet on a key chain

Bullet on a key chain with the logo....It's an advertising giveaway.

BarbM32 12-16-2011 09:21 AM

A keychain attachment made from a bullet. My mother had a picture frame made from bullets a lot larger than the one featured. My uncle had the frame made for her when he was in China in 1932. Also he brought her a heavily carved ivory bracelet about 2+ inches wide as well as 2 brass Chinese Buddas and one female version Budda. My brother got the frame and I got the rest.

it's a bullet made into a key chain

so-sew 12-18-2011 04:38 AM

It looks like a bullet to me....?

Dawn227 12-18-2011 04:50 AM

As some one posted it is a bullet, but has been emptied and turned into a key ring. I remember my father having a large calibur bullet that was turned into a lighter. Check the bottom of it for more information. Here is a link to help. http://members.shaw.ca/cartridge-corner/shotgun.htm
Good luck keep us posted!

I know it is a bullet but think the ring on the top is to open a beer bottle.

The Gold Eagle is a logo for a farm equipment and goods supplier, Gold Eagle Cooperative in Iowa. They not only supply some equipment but fertilizer, feed, etc. Whether they are still in existence, I don't know. Your might try going to Gold Eagle Cooperative on line and see what you come up with.

ckcowl 12-18-2011 06:04 AM

it is a bullet on a key chain from a popular(been around for a long-long time) ammunitions company--i'm surprised you could not find the company on line.

supergma 12-18-2011 06:26 AM

Sorry, I don't know what the logo stands for, but I can tell you not to try to board a plane with it in your possession. My friend had a keychain with a fake bullet on it...they took it away from her at the airport.

Grannyh67 12-18-2011 07:28 AM

Bullet on a Key Chain, I have one too, only it is a 40 MM. The decal looks like it is for a dealer of ammo and Gun's. I like it. I Quilt but I like Gun's too, lol.

Interesting. Let us know what you find out for sure.

svenskaflicka1 12-18-2011 07:42 AM

yup. becka hit it. it is a business that runs war games, but not paintball. they only "play" in groups of four or more, they require specific gear and weaponry, and it looks like anyone who was in or interested in combat might enjoy a go at it. your father might have gotten it from someone who thought it was cool, or he may have picked it up at any number of advertising opportunities (like a mall, a gun show, a sports show, etc.) funny, the things we find in our folks' stuff. i can imagine my kids shaking their heads in dismay at the junk i've acquired along the way. i envision the world's biggest garage sale after i croak!

thenonnielady 12-18-2011 01:46 PM

Looks like a bullet to me, too.

guntherquilter 12-18-2011 01:56 PM

looks like a key ring made with a bullet.

Tartan 12-18-2011 03:32 PM

If the bottom comes off, it looks like a dandy needle case to me.:D

ging10ging 12-18-2011 03:41 PM

It does look like a keychain , would that be a bullet for a shotgun it looks big in the pic but I don't know much about guns. Looks like a keeper maybe it's really gold. Good luck with it. Sue

BettyGee 12-18-2011 05:52 PM

DH doesn't know. For some reason I'm thinking it is an marketing gadget for a beer or Tequila.

dunngriffith 12-20-2011 07:37 AM

reminds me of a pin farmers use to attach implements to their tractors.

Brass goes into rifles and pistols. A shotgun shell is soft sided and contains buckshot.
