I can probably figure it out on my own, but it would be easier with an idea of a pattern, I just have no idea what it would be called. I think this is such a cool-looking quilt!

Can't help you with a pattern name for the quilt. But I know the name of the block that's used in it...its called the Bright Hopes block. Well, at least that's what my magazine is calling it (might go by a different name).

It looks like the "Attic Window." I looked at some websites and that is what it looked like to me.

I love Bright Hopes. It's done with partial seams and looks like woven strips if you play with the colors. It combines really nicely with log cabin blocks. I've done several quilts using the two together. I like the rainbow quilt, too.
EDIT: Photo deleted, sorry. |
Ya know nor'easter , that's a stunning quilt.
I can just see it done in a brushed gray cotton, looking like a Pendleton Wool. I s'pect I am going to have to download that photo and keep it for reference. tim in san jose |
Thanks, Tim. Glad you like it. It is one of my best (so far) designs...and quite simple to make (normal copyright rules apply).

Nor'easter... is that an EQ design? I would love to know how to put my EQ designs on this site to share from time to time.. I am still doing the tutorials and learning how to use this awesome software....
|
No, I design using Excel. I'm an accountant.
To get the file posted, I printed it in Excel, scanned it (which makes it a jpeg file), resized it, and posted it. I couldn't save Excel directly as jpeg, thus the scanning part. Can you save EQ files as jpeg? |
WOO HOO!!!! you guys rock!!!!
Now I'm off to figure out how much of everything I need for this... |
