I am visiting in Ohio with my daughter and she wants me to make PJ bottoms for her and her man. I'm gonna make some for the poodle too. I laid out the fabric with wrong sides together but I think that is wrong. I'm not sure if it will make any difference or not. If anyone knows please write me back..I haven't cut them out yet so I still can recover the fabric if this way doesn't work.

It doesn't really matter - as long as you end up with the right number of pieces facing the right direction :-)

Yep -- what she said!

Usually the directions will indicate that you put right sides together, but it doesn't really make any difference when cutting pj bottoms

YEP...WE HAVE GREAT FAITH IN YOU How about patchwork PJ's :D

It shouldn't matter, but see what the directions of the pattern say. It'll usually tell you which way to fold the fabric (right side or wrong side out).

ARE you using a pattern or are you cutting them out from old pj's taken apart? Just so the seat has extra room, that's the only part to worry over. Otherwise it shouldn't matter unless you are matching plaids or something.

Post pictures, especially of the 3 of them IN the pjs

I can't wait to see them. Especially the poodle. :-)

I called Joann Fabrics and they said it didn't matter either and the first pair was too tight for Josh and Cathy both. I'm just gonna put a strip of fabric down each side for my daughter but for Josh I finally found the right size so I'm gonna make those today. The dog might have to wait until tomorrow. I'll try to get pics of them but Josh is little bit shy. LOL

I do. I would look for a pattern online and then check out the patterns you are interested in, at patternreview.com.

PJ pants are a good project for when you're first starting making clothing. You just need 2 fronts and 2 backs, mirror images of each other.

Good luck!

Thanks, I already have the pattern. The PJ's are all made but I need to add some to the top of my daughter's. They are too much of a hip hugger and her little behind shows.
