Does anyone recognize this block?

I am trying to use up my 2.5 inch strip bin and came up with this block. I am not sure how it will look in a quilt and would like to see examples, but do not know what to search for.
Anyone know the name???

No, but check out the Quilters Cache website, they have lots of blocks , also Free Patterns.com. I looked through a few of my books but didn't see the exact same block. It's similar to a Bento Box, so maybe that could give you the idea.

I don't know, but it is very cute! I look forward to seeing what you do with it ~smile~

I don't know the name of the block but have seen similar one to that. That block would look great in a quilt. I would alternate blocks to have dark touch light throughout. Looking forward to seeing what you make.

Is that a bento box?

Looks like the center part for sure.

Kitsie is right about your pattern being the center part of a bento box.

I love the fabric choices and your great piecing skills!

Bento Box, but there is usually another round of strips....

I agree it looks like the center of a Bento box. What I liked about it was that each pair of 2.5 x wof strips yield 2 blocks. All I would have to do is pair up a light and a dark strip. Most of my strips are left over jelly rolls where I only have 1.

I agree with everyone else-it looks like the center of the bento box pattern.
