Electric scissors, hmm. I bought a pair for 5.00. They were originally 60.00. Besides fabric, paper, and cardboard they are awesome at opening the plastic packaging. I opened my labeler in just a few seconds. I just zipped right around the edges. It is nice that they are cordless.

I have a pair that I used long ago for fabric cutting but never used them for quilting. They are still on my quilting table.

I have RA and brought my out again, I find them very helpful and I so glad I didn't give them away.

I own a pair that I have had since the 80s. I have to say that I am amazed that they still work. Now, you can not use them for precision cutting, just like you can't use a razor for precision cutting your hair. You also can not force them on the fabric. You have to relax and let them do their thing. When I need it, I am very grateful to have it.

I've had some in the past and used them for clothing but they got dull very quickly. I would very reluctant to use them for cutting out a quilt.

I have a pair too but only used them for cutting clothes patterns. There quit noisy to use.The idea about using them for paper might work. Thanks a lot for the idea.

Sounds like nobody uses these anymore, I likewise. I'm waiting for them to become antiques, then we can display them in our studios. lol

I had the old ones years ago, and used them for cutting upholstery fabrics. I now have a cordless one that is great for cutting yardage, or through several thicknesses of fabric. I would not use them on anything intricate, though.

OMG, I was just talking about electric scissors last week! I had some & used them when I made more clothing. I can't remember whatever happened to them, too many years have gone by. :D

Yes, in fact I have 2 pair. One is very old, but they are still on the market and really come in handy for cutting stuff that does not have to be as perfect as it is for quilting.
