Does Craftsy sell quality fabric?
I searched for a thread about it first. But nothing popped up. I've got quite a wishlist of clearance items, but have never bought from them. They seem to have several brands.
Just looking for advice before I spend. Thanks SVAL |
To my knowledge, they sell the same major brands one would buy at the LQS.
I bought two kits from them for a knit top and a cardigan. Both were very nice fabric. Don't know about quilting or cotton fabric but would think it would be good quality.
They identify the manufacturer of the fabrics they sell. They're all well known brands that sell in your LQS.
I buy kits from Craftsy. They are quality fabrics.
Yes, they do post who the manufacturers are. I only buy from the manufacturer I am familar with that produce quality fabric.
I have bought fabric from them quite a lot, and been satisfied every time. I have bought at least 2 "mystery" boxes of fat quarters and they were all beautiful. Some seemed to be a little old, but most of the fabrics in my stash are old too. I really don't care when the fabric was made and probably wouldn't be able to find more if I ran out anyway.

I have bought several times from them Usually the clearance everything I have bought has been manufactures I know and I am comfortable with Moda, Kona and the like. Never been unhappy.
Yes! Brand names, first quality. I shop there frequently. They have great deals!
The Best and if your a loyal customer they really give some nice incentives!! Moda Red Rooster any brand you can imaging!!
Yes they sure do. Very nice and name brands.
Yes they do. I have bought a lot of fabric from them and I find they are cheaper
than most. I recommend them highly. |
I've bought lots of fabric and quilt kits from Craftsy. I have never been dissatisfied. Also, they often have the best prices on thread and notions.
I too have bought kits from them and the quality was excellent. I make a point of opening the kit, measuring the fabrics and comparing amounts to the pattern. Every time they have been dead on.
I agree with the others. Quality fabric. As others said, brand is Listed in description. I think they have the best camera-work. Pictures in their description are both close-up and faraway and colors are true. I think they are the best!
I bought a set of 50 fat quarters from them for a really good price earlier this year and the fabric was beautiful and good quality. I would not hesitate buying from them again.
I have bought from them several times and have been pleased every time with the products- kits and yardage.
Thanks everyone. My shipment is on the way. I can't wait. It'll be like my birthday.

I've always selected from their clearance section. I've bought about 30 yards of various fabrics, all of which have arrived in beautiful condition and exactly as advertized. The neat thing is that they show closeups of every package that they sell. Many are collections of fat quarters, but sometimes they have 10 1-yard cuts in a wonderful sturdy box. They also have a few 3-4 yard pieces and, rarely, some fabrics where you can choose the number of yards that you want. I haven't tried the mystery boxes yet.

I have been happy with my purchases. Recently got a kit for a K. Fasset quilt. Perfect in every way. As others have said they sell name brands.
I have been very happy with my purchases on Craftsy. One fabric was flawed but I emailed and they sent a replacement and an apology very promptly. They told me to keep the flawed fabric hoping I could find a way to use it for something else. I think I had the replacement in less than a week.
yes I buy there kits and I am very satisfied with it I got the kite flight and it is turning out really pretty
In my opinion yes! All are name brands that I normally buy & have never been disappointed
Just received a kit I ordered and the background fabric is grey NOT white as shown in all the pictures. Yes, I am going to phone them.
They sell all quilt shop quality fabrics. They have awesome prices on sale fabrics which are up to date designs.
I have purchased some beautiful fabric for great prices -- jelly rolls, layer cakes, and yardage. Shipments are fast and arrive in about three days. I love their clearance section. I recently bought Clover knitting needles and some sewing needles -- it was much quicker than going shopping and they had exactly the sizes I needed and wanted. Craftsy offers fabric and notions I would have to drive 75 miles and still might not find them.
I love to shop on Craftsy! They have the best prices on pre-cuts and Aurifil thread.
I have purchased many kids and yardage from craftsy. I'm very happy with everything I've gotten, of course I only buy when it's on sale.
I bought a clearance kit, just to use the fabric in the kit (didn't like the pattern)...it was Kona cottons and very nice. I am using up the "Snow" now.
I've bought pre-cuts and yardage (mystery boxes), and all fabric has been top quality.
I have made three of their batik quilt kits - nice quality Tonga batiks.I did find the amount of fabric a little skimpy however.

Yes, they have quality fabric. I buy from them all the time and prices are great! They have the best price on Aurifil thread that I have found. In quilting products they always tell the maker of the fabric.
