Can you tell me what this is? I'm hoping its a seam guide for echo quilting. I ordered a walking foot and
I'm wondering if this goes with it? Once I know what it is called I can look up how to attach it. Thanks.

It's pictured upside down.

That's a darning/quilting foot. You use it for free motion quilting.

If you look at your walking foot, there should be a hole in the back to insert that guide.

The guide, itself, is usually just an "L" shaped bar that slides into that hole.

The walking feet I've gotten (IIRC) came with that bar.

So you sure you don't have a bar floating around in your goodies?

Also.... those bars come in different diameters... so make sure if you order one or go to a store to buy one, that you have your walking foot with you or you know what brand/supplier was the source of the walking foot.

I wish my quilting guide was as nice as this one. Mine is just a small bar that slides too easily into the top of the walking foot but there is NOTHING to keep it from moving left to right. So I always had to mark my lines. Looks like they have made some good improvements.

To Maniac and HoW...

When I got my Ellisimo, I got two walking feet. The other one (not shown) is slimmer than this one - but the guides don't work in it. So that other one is a great for doing seams (like on heavy handbags, totes, etc) ...

But the one above is for quilting with the guide. This one also came with a second closed-sole plate that fits on it.

If you look carefully at the back of this foot, there is a hole on the upper part of the back side that the screw that is on the guide fits through - to tighten it down so it doesn't lose it's setting when you're sewing.

Just wanted to show you this in case you start shopping for a different walking foot. :)
