We don't have a Joann fabrics close to us so I can't use their 50% off coupons for batting :( Does anyone know if Hancocks has coupons like that?

sewwhat85 05-12-2011 05:45 AM

Yes but you have to sign up for the circular to get the coupons.

Watch for Joann's online coupons and sales:
http://www.joann.com/joann/search/se...questid=591853

50% off online coupon code valid until 5/14 (and then there will be another one ;-) ) KBP914

Granted, you will have to pay for shipping, but it still might be worth it to you.

If you buy a whole bolt (40 yards) the shipping is only $18, so it comes out to under $6/yard. I know that's probably more than you want to buy, but the shipping charges didn't seem onerous.

Last year there was a special, and folks were getting the whole bolt for under $200 including shipping. You never know.

Shipping for a package of batting was $7.

wannaquilt1 05-12-2011 06:20 AM

does Hancock honor Ac Moore and Michaels coupons too?

kathy 05-12-2011 06:21 AM

at Hancock's when you sign up to be a prefered shopper, you get a flyer with 40% off any reg. priced notion, 40% off any one piece reg. price fab (that's when i buy the batting) and they 50% off one item on a certain day and senior discounts (can't get that yet) and lots of other things, the prob. is most things i want are on sale the day i'm there :hunf:

dglvr 05-12-2011 06:22 AM

I was just at Hancocks yesterday and used my Joanns coupons. I had a scratch off for 50% off and they let me use that too.

Unfortunately HF does play the sale game. It always amazes me fabrics that are not marked on sale show up for 20-30% off so you can't use the 40% on them unless you insist and the manager overrides the pricing (40% off original not sale). And they've marked up their fabric to cover the 20-30% spread. ARGH!

I bought some material the last time I was there....brand not on sale. All the sudden I get told that it is on sale because all the "baby fabric" is on sale.

I find Joanns to be much better than HF. Either something is on sale or it isn't. I rarely have a hard time finding something at J's to use a coupon on....

KwiltyKahy 05-12-2011 05:15 PM

Hancock's has recently changed policy back to being able to used your coupon for sale fabric. You can do which ever is the best price. And they do honor competitor's coupons for merchandise that both places sell.

Stitchnripper 05-12-2011 05:26 PM

The last I tried at our Hancock's in Baton Rouge they looked at me funny when I tried to use another store's coupon. Maybe I will try again.

SherriB 05-12-2011 05:29 PM

I get their flier in the mail and sometimes use the coupons on the back. I may check and see if they will honor Hobby Lobby coupons since we have a HL also.

Fran Juern 05-13-2011 03:32 AM

Hancock,s just had a 40% off on one item from the computer. If you sign up for their e-mails you get these regularly.

Blinky 05-13-2011 04:00 AM

Yeah! I didn't know Hancocks took JoAnn's coupons! We don't have a JoAnn's here but get there flyers. Someone else had asked if Hancocks excepted Michaels and Acmoore coupons?...but no one has answered yet?

Get Hancock coupons here (2 sites). Google "Hancock Fabric, Coupons, Promo Codes" You'll get a ton of sites, they'll all love to add you to their mailing lists. Next time you're in Hancock's, ask the cashier to put you on the mailing list for their "flyer".

Fabaddict 05-13-2011 04:37 AM

in Springfield, MO they all honor each others. Makes it nice when you can't find something at one

flikkem 05-13-2011 04:56 AM

I signed up with Hancock on line and they regularly publish sale notices. On the notice there is a place that says coupons and you can print them from there.

mirish2 05-13-2011 05:00 AM

In our town, Joann's does not accept other coupons because those other stores are not located here. If I go to Rockford, IL or Madison, WI, those stores will accept each others coupons, i.e. Joann's, Hancock, Michael's, Hobby Lobby. There are some exceptions. Hobby Lobby does not take any one else's coupons even tho their coupons can be used at the other stores and Michaels will only take one per day per customer.

kittycats 05-13-2011 05:43 AM

They will honor Hancock's coupons. I did not know this until I was in there the other day to buy something and the clerk noticed that I had some Joann coupons.

girlsfour 05-13-2011 05:56 AM

I work at Hancock Fabrics in Minnesota. I do sometimes think the guidelines vary from area to area, but here are the rules we go by:

Hancock Fabrics are supposed to accept Michaels and Joanns coupons for "like items." You cannot use Michaels coupons for fabric since they do not sell fabric. These are the only competitor items they accept. One per purchase. Cannot be used on large ticket items.

They do not honor competitor coupons on I-Phones.

If an item is on sale, you cannot use a competitor coupon on the item to get an additional percentage off.

You can use a Hancock coupon for an item on sale if your coupon is for more than the item is on sale for. The cashier should override the sale price...

Senior discount: 1st Wednesday of the month, 55 yrs and up, additional 15% off entire purchase with the exception of large ticket items (irons, sewing machines, etc).

There are printable coupons facebook right now if you are fan of Hancock Fabrics. Their wall is fun to look at too. Of course, not near as good as the quilting board!

Hope this helps.

Hancock does have coupons. You need to register for their mailing list. They do not come as frequently as Jo Ann's which now are coming once a month. Hancock has been upgrading their fabric recently. I guess since Walmart has stopped it fabric section. (none of the Walmart's have started restocking material here, and the one in Covington, La only had fat quarters/half-yard cuts/one yard cuts....all prepackaged.) They looked ok, but were basic colors, but no way to feel the fabric and I am a feeler. You might try looking on line for the coupons. I don't since mine come in the mail.

TacoMama 05-13-2011 06:54 AM

Sure didn't know Hancock's would honor JoAnn's coupons! We don't have a JoAnn's, but the town near us does. Think I will try it!

milikaa1 05-13-2011 07:55 AM

I believe they do, but I also asked our local Hancocks and they said they honor JoAnn coupons....

penski 05-13-2011 08:32 AM

THANKS MISJMACK, I WENT TO WEBSITE AND WAS ABLE TO USE THE FREE SHIPPING COUPON AND ALL MATERIAL I ORDERED WAS 50%OFF. BLESSINGS, GEORGIA

RAChhap 05-13-2011 11:21 AM

Yes, Hancock's does have coupons, both in their flyers and on-line. the one I usually shop at also honors Joanne's coupons and sometimes it is better to use the Joannes one as Hancock has different things on sale, usually more "regular" price items. You do have to sign up for their free preferred customer list.

no time 2 sew 05-13-2011 11:36 AM

I was employed by Hancock Fabrics in several differnt states, and no cupons anywhere. They may have changes their policy but I have no idea as the nearest one is miles from me.

meanmom 05-13-2011 01:47 PM

I am on Hancocks mailing list and get coupons all the time. My Hancocks also honors Jo Anns coupons

Mine does, but only for items that AC Moore and Micheal's sell, so it would not work on fabric or batting, but would work on craft items, yarns, silk flowers, ribbons, etc. At least that is what I was told here (in Maryland).

Go into Hancock fabric and have them put you on their mailer which has coupons. They will give you a scan card. Be sure they get you into the mailing list though. apparently not everyone working there checks to be sure. Just because they set you up with a scan card, it does not automatically mean you're on the mailing list.

quilt queen 05-13-2011 07:55 PM

The Hancock Fabrics in Austin Texas honors JoAnn's coupons...and of course they handle batting.

katcincinnati 05-13-2011 08:17 PM
