Which fabric would you use to do borders if you think I should do them.

Only if you want/need to make it larger. If it were mine & I wanted it larger I would continue the blocks, add another row,or go around it one more time- what ever I felt I needed to add to make it the size I wanted it to be... I would not add a traditional plain border to it

I would put a border on it, not a large one. I think it would really frame it and look nice.

i'd say that it doesn't NEED a border, but if you decide to use one, i'd use the red.

That was exactly my thought, too, when I looked at it!

I would use red or black Im thinking black because the red could be to much.

I would say a border would really finish it off. A border using the black fabric would be very striking. There's quite abit of red in the quilt and feel that it would be too much to include it as a border as well.

I think I would have it float on white with a white binding.

It is pretty as is but if I was going to add a border, maybe plain black?
