I have lived in GA, TX, MS, AL, MN, WI and now NC and have never seen fabric in Target. They has a tiny section that has basic sewing supplies and a few cheap sewing machines.

No, but wouldn't it be nice if they took over where Wal-Mart left off ~

No fabric in Phoenix, AZ area Target Stores.
Hobby Lobby has fabric. They took over the older Mervyns stores. Usually I purchase fabric from Walmart (until they redesign the store and fabric 'goes away.') Quality fabric is always from JoAnnes; 35th Ave Sew and Vac Store; and Mulqueens Sewing Shop here in Glendale, AZ. |
Not in any I've been in in Utah.

I shop at Joann Fabrics and have for over 10 years. Each month they send out and adverisement and you can get percentage off on items not on sale. I have lived several places and never had a problem with Joann or any person that works there. but Hobby Lobby they want to sell you the fabric but they won't let you carry it to the register. they said they had someone stealing fabric so they stopped the customer from carry their own fabric. I told them it would be my last time in their store. and to try to find the inside person who was stealing fabric. I was spending almost $200 every time I went to Hobby Lobby.
|
Not that I've ever seen! I might spend more time there!
|
No, they don't & never have. I used to work there as a team leader & after Walmart took out their fabric, & Target started talking about bringing in more food, I sent the corporate office a letter asking for a FABRIC dept, telling them it would draw all the Walmart fabric people, but they put in more food just like every other store has done. Their loss!!

not in VA or NY

Speculation had it that the reason Walmart took out fabric was because someone in management had been in Target management previously and was trying to turn Walmart more in the direction Target was going. Don't know if the folks I heard this from were 'on target' or not. LOL!

They haven't taken our fabric out in Grenada, MS, but mother from Florida and they have taken out theirs. We have to drive over 100 mile to get to a fabric store. I've been using th net for things I know the texture of- nice order the amount you want and in a few days it's at the door. I have been doing this for years ordering yarn and cross stitch supplies because Wal-Mart would never have just the color I would need. Try Joann Fabrics they have excellent dilivery and some great on line sales.
