Very pretty, great color, great pattern, great work. I can only see lots of greatness. Sorry you don't like, I can't find anything to not like. Finish it up and someone will love it.

IMHO, it might need more color. Maybe quilt it in red. I agree with Susan, that you need to either change the errors, accept them or, what I would do, put something over them. An appliqued lady bug, for example. However, you might take it out into daylight and see if you still don't like it. It looks fine to me. If you don't want it, I bet there is someone who would love it as a gift.

Oh, you don't need a guild. Ask around at the churches, quilt shops and fabric stores for someone local who would be willing to quilt the top for charity. Depending on the finished size, there are many charities that need donations like this. Check with your local hospital(s), Quilts of Valor (they actually like quilts that are NOT red white and blue), veteran's groups, retirement homes, Project Linus, etc.

There's a member here who doesn't enjoy piecing but loves quilting so she picks up already finished tops. I think she has a rabbit in her avi? She might be interested.
Eta: oh I see you have a taker already. Yay! |
I think you should put it away for a year, it is very pretty and you might like it better some other day.

I'm quilting one I did that I am not fond of right now. So I know what you mean. It is a graduation gift for a friend's son. Just don't like it, don't know why. Maybe when I get it off the longarm I will like it better. Darn thing was expensive, too, all Batiks. Maybe you could sell it here on the board and at least get a little of the $$spent on fabric back. Someone who likes it might finish it for a quick gift. But I have to say I do like yours. The fabric choices and the pattern.

I once took a "found" quilt top that was ever so ugly and cut it into placemat size rectangles. Quilted them a little on my sewing machine and bound them. I made no attempt to make all the rectangles match in placement. I loved them.
