...unless you get the chance to jump in the shower right away! I've been sticking to my floors all evening!

That's funny. Sounds exactly like something I would.

this is a little on the gory side, but don't use your rotary cutter in your bare feet either...

Jodie02b 10-27-2010 07:25 PM

Thanks for the tip, i'm bare footed 99.9% of the time

tjradj 10-27-2010 07:28 PM

Too funny.
Between basting spray, pins, rotary cutters, hot irons, sharp sewing machine needles going 1000 mph, it's a wonder there's a quilter around without some major injury!!

Started laughing as soon as I read the title (before opening the post). I could just picture it in my head! That's why I don't use spray baste--I'm too messy!

That's why I wear closed-toed shoes to quilt class. Most ladies wear sandals and flip-flops in the summer. I dread the thought of someone dropping their rotary cutter, or even a pair of scissors! I guess it comes from working in a lab.

I don't want to know how you know that. Ouch.

I work in a lab too...you'd think I'd know better! LOL

I have only spray basted once...and spent the next day cleaning my floor...what a job. I wonder how those of you who successfully spray baste do it. Please advise.

Mattee 10-28-2010 06:08 AM

I know some people do it in their garage, or even outside.

CarrieAnne 10-28-2010 06:28 AM

Sounds like something I would do too!

Tink's Mom 10-28-2010 06:30 AM

Great advice!

I have a pair of shoes just for spray basting. They get all sticky and I sure wouldn't want to wear them anywhere.
