Take a break and go look at your pretty fabrics and feel them!

Sometimes when my eyes and mind don't like something they send their dislike out through my fingers. Concentrate on how happy the person will be and what a wonderful thing you're doing for them and what a GREAT person you are for doing it---maybe that will help. Take short breaks often and then get right back to it. You'll feel so much better when it's done and you don't have to look at it anymore.

Just spent a good part of yesterday doing the same thing...rippit,rippit,rippit...Have decided that sashing will disguise the rest of the inadequacies of the blocks, so I'm not taking THEM apart (yet, anyway),but now I'm back to 24 blocks instead of most of a quilt top...have also decided that with the sashing maybe I'll only need 25 blocks instead of 36, so only 1 more block to make...this
UFO may become a quilt yet!

Over the better part of the weekend and also yesterday, I spent so much quality time with the stitch ripper that I named it Frank. Frank and I were working on a new to me pattern with points and opposites so mostly the points didn't line up but occasionally the opposites (think hourglass) didn't work out. FINALLY got it quilted and the binding on, only to discover that the tension was wonky on the bindinbg so ripping that out currently. Gotta love it.

That's funny! I should name mine also. But she would be a girl since she is pink . . . .:)
