Dot to Dot Quilting
 

Has anyone taken Angela Walter's Craftsy class on Dot to Dot quilting? If so, how did you like the class? She has a special right now for the class but I would like some input before I commit. Thanks.

Angela is a wonderful longarm quilter! Her classes and tutorials are very well done. I've not checked out the ( craftsy) class, but I would guess they will be as good as any she does. You could always visit her website & watch a couple of her free tutorials, short videos to see if what she doe's is what you want to learn before paying for a class.

I've taken it. A very good class. Worth it, especially on sale.

I took the class and was dissatisfied. First of all near enough is good enough is not right. I want my quilting to be the best I can do, not good enough. She may be a great teacher, but not my type of class. Mary

I bought that class a long time ago ago on sale, but didn't watch it until yesterday. It came in very handy for finishing a quilt that had been stumping me for awhile. That alone made the class worth it for me. If you are a new quilter, I think it is a great way to finish up quilts tops that are languishing on the shelf because you don't know where to start with the quilting design. Lots of possibilities with just straight lines and minimal marking. I used the longarm, but I can see the class being helpful with my DSM quilting too. She teaches the class on a DSM. (Janome)

I really enjoyed the class and was very encouraged by her "close enough is good enough" attitude. It's easy to be completely intimidated by all the gorgeous quilts that are posted online and feel as though there is no way a new FMQer can ever get there. Angela is very encouraging in her teaching style and as you practice you can make your own standards more stringent as you go. I've taken four of her classes and my skills have improved greatly with each one. Good luck!

Good class
 

I am still new to FMQ. I liked her teaching style and it definitely gave me some food for thought. I just don't think I could live with the quilting lines not being straight. I am to much of a perfectionist. I am not sorry I took the class, lots of good ideas.

I have her Dot to Dot class and it was "ok." Don't know if I finished watching it or not. My favorite instructor from Craftsy is Ann Petersen.
