Has anyone here made a queen size wedding ring quilt. The only pattern I have is for the Elenor Burns Sampler 1 & 2. That doesn't work for me. I wonder if I just need to buy the quilt smart stuff for it. I found one on-line for $34.95. I'd sure rather spend that on fabric. I might splurge though for the lonestar quilt. LOL Thanks all!!

I used templates from an old quilting magazine, and honestly, it worked just fine. I made templates from template plastic (soft stuff like a milk carton, not acrylic like rotary cutting rulers), stacked up my fabrics, and cut around the template. I also tried drawing around the template on the wrong side of the fabric on top of the stack, and that worked ok too.
It wasn't nearly as hard as I had expected. |
Cheryl Phillips has a great book called rings that bind it is a great method and a quilt as you go so when you are done you're done it is a beautiful quilt
