I think that is one of the most beautiful quilt pattern out there. When my quilting skills improve, I plan to make one. I am looking forward to seeing post of you guys quilt when they are completed.

I'm doing one using Marti Michell's templates. Not hard as long as you mark and match the dots when sewing together.

I am about to start one using quiltsmart.

I have John Flynn's book for DWR and I did see the Simply Quilts show he was on but haven't done one yet.

I made one a couple of years ago. I got the paperpiecing pattern from one of the websites on paperpiecing. I enlarged the circles and divided
the segments in half (1.5x2.5 wedges). Then I backed the quarter circles with a light fabric before I pieced them and appliqued them to the
background. I posted a picture of it but in the wrong place (first time posting a picture) so you probably won't be able to find it. I was pleased with the results although it was probably as time consuming as the traditional one.
