Drawer handles and doorknobs

Has anyone made their own drawer handles for their sewing room? I need 24 but don't want to break the bank.
How well do little bobbins work as knobs?

You could use empty wood spools - if you have any.

The plastic ones that have the same shape would work, too -

Vintage wooden spools would look good but they are getting hard to find. Sometimes you can find wooden spools at the craft stores. If the drawers are small then a screw through a metal bobbin would work.

I like the idea of wooden spools. I believe I have seen them at Michael's. I left my drawers and doors without handles which give a uniform look and didn't cost me a dime.

Anything you like can be a drawer pull. A good glue will hold them in place so no drilling holes. I used glue to put huge acrylic marbles on a drawer and they are still attached. I think I use Gorilla glue. All types of specialty glues available now.

I’ve gotten handles & knobs at a Salvage store in our area.
Or you could advertise for wooden spools on Craigs List.

When we built our home last year, I needed over 100 knobs for whole house! I ordered from Amazon. check them out. I love the beach, so my knobs have seahorses, shells, turtles, etc.- I mixed them up.
