What would your dream iron be if price was not an issue & why.

Mine would be an Olisco with Auto Lift - because I have heard only good times about this Iron and I am dying for the auto lift feature, which will hopefully keep my iron from meeting the floor.

Mine too. I've been looking at this for some time. When my Rowenta bites the dust, it's mine.

Olisco. My dealer (Janome and Tin Lizzie) has one and he loves it! I might be trading a sewing machine for one. Took one in for him to try out and see what he will give for it. I just love trading things! :)

Myself and several others have had the Oliso Iron....Unfortunately, I had nothing but problems with mine, called the company, they explained there had been issues, sent me another one and I still had issues....Maybe by now they've worked out all the kinks...too expensive for me to try it again..Good luck with yours!

I'm with you! I would love to have a Olisco with the Auto lift. Unfortunatly they are out of my price range.

I have one and love it. Found it on sale at Homegoods.

That's why it is called a dream iron - I will dream about it tonight

Had an Oliso and didn't like it at all. It is very heavy if you have to actually lift it which I did because my sewing area was so limited in space. Wouldn't spend the money again.

I have had my Oliso for 4 years with no problems. In fact, I would take it to Make A Blanket Day events and it was the novelty item to play with. They couldn't resist touching it and watching it go down and then back up. I am spoiled, got mine on ebay for $74 at the time.

I thought the Oliso was so cool when I saw it demoed at a quilt show. I came home and read reviews on the internet and was very disappointed. Most said that the iron lasted for a year or less. That is ridiculous for the price! :(
