Dresdon plate using men's ties

I saw a quilt pattern that used men's ties to make one large dresdon plate that covered the whole quilt top. Now I have enough ties and can't remember where I saw the pattern. I know you can't use the whole tie because it would be way too heavy so if anyone knows how to do this, PLEASE let me know.
Thanks in advance for anyone to help.

I remember a quilt with a big Dresden Plate done by nmcdaniel1119 if that is the one you saw? If you type in the search box at the top of the QB site, Men's Ties Dresden Plate, you might find it. Several years ago I quilted a tie quilt for a customer. I believe she found the pattern in a book, however, I do not recall the name of the book. Maybe if you google quilt book/men's ties, you might find it?

There is a book called "Daddy's Ties". It is long out of print but you can find reasonable used copies. http://www.alibris.com/Daddy-s-Ties-.../book/11378936
