Help please!! I bought this at the Salvation Army store, but didn't notice there was no needle. Now I can't figure how to make one stay on the machine. There is no light, but has a plug for it. Label says made in Japan.

I cant tell for sure but it looks like it is missing the needle clamp. Add this to the vintage section and someone will be able to tell I'm sure.

Looks like the screw that holds the needle in is missing...

I think its a 15 clone and if so I got one for my machine that was about $3. I might even have a spare....let me look. Oh well I guess I hid it from myself...

Thanks for the info. How do it post it to vintage machine? I would be so happy if you have an extra clamp, or tell me where to get one.

Thanks, ginnie6, I took a needle clamp from another non-working treadle machine, and it works! It's a very quiet machine and I hope to use it for quilting. Am going to research it some on the net.

I looked and while I know I have one I can't find it...

I don't know about the needle but it sure is a beauty.

It looks like the screw that holds the needle in place has been lost. I'll bet that if you took it to Home Depot, the guy or gal in the fasteners department could help you find a replacement. Good luck!

Well, the clamp I took from the other machine is working fine. And she sews like a dream, real quiet, and smooth. Thanks for all the help.
