Drunken path stitch?

I am not sure I have the right name but the stitch just goes all over the place. I googled drunken path stitch and came up with how to put the quilt block together. Can anyone direct me to its correct name so I can find it? I know the word drunken is in the name.

are you referring to meandering or stippling? these are used as general all-over quilting or stippling in the background to make the pattern pop.

Perhaps. Where would I find something instructional on that? My grandma used to do something that just went all over and looked great! She called it a drunk in something but grandma made up her own names!

there a quite a few on youtube. I did a search for how to quilt stippling and got both free motion and stippling.

that's what I thought of, the block DP, not a stitch.

Are you talking about a quilt pattern named -Drunkards Path? Are you talking about a quilting pattern called Meandering or Stippling? Are you talking about the Serpentine stitch from the fancy machine stitches? A picture would help narrow the possibilities.

it does sound more like a meandering stitch which is usually done as free motion quilting.
