A "duh" moment...

I found out my thread cutter on my New Home wasn't working. Had seen on a site about attaching one of those cute little letter openers on side to cut. Took thread cutter off & wa-la! found out it was stopped up!!!" So cleaned out & good as new…!!
Never thought about it…
So.. hope this is helpful to others..

yep, those thread cutters get clogged up and need to be cleaned periodically. I know this because we owned a quilt shop and sold Janome (New Home) machines and people woould bring them in and say they no longer would cut thread. LOL

While I was at a workshop, the instructor talked a little an thread. With that, she told how her machine with a thread cutter doesn't like certain threads, and won't cut them. One of the gals was thrilled when she said that. This gal retried her thread cutter, and was doing the Happy Dance, because it worked. She told us that it hadn't worked in years, and she recently started using different thread. She retried using it and the thread cutter worked. She was especially happy with the class!
