Okay, now I have a dumb simple question to ask. I've been looking at large eye needles for handwork in attaching bindings, my question is does the size of the needle go up or down with the number. In other words, which is bigger a 10 or an 11. I learn so much from this board but don't remember seeing that question before. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A 10 is larger than an 11. The higher the number the smaller the needle. It's the exact opposite for machine needles. ...Another thing that doesn't make sense.
