Yes that's it. Thank you. Sometimes it just takes another person to find things lol. I wonder if there's a pattern that would not require applique. I can't do applique very well. I wonder if I could adjust that so I could sew the circle into the block instead of on top of it.
I don't see why not. If you traced the applique piece at the two corners of your triangles that would be your sewing line. Then cut away the corners by eyeballing a 1/4 inch seam and cut on the inside curve. then just sew your pieces together. Might have some extra waste....scraps for another quilt!
