I would like to know what are the best fabric paints and dyes that everyone likes using. I am having trouble with paints being too stiff. I tried rubber stamping on fabric, but the dyes washed out. Help!

I know stampin up has a fabric ink called staz-on. I have not used it for quilts but I have used it for tshirts that we have washed a zillion times for the kids. I am not sure when anyone else uses for quilts tho. I am not that advanced...im just happy when my points match up properly ;)

Thanks. You get your points to match up? Good for you!

i guess it depends on what your trying to do.
i like tsukineko inks and i like jacquard dyes and paints (Dye na flow, procion, textile paint, lumiere, pearl ex, tee juice). then for rubbings i like to use shiva paint stiks. |

Ditto what Klue and Sybil said and also Setacolor paints.

Dharma trading company carries all the dyes, paints, inks, markers ect. to use on fabrics, great selections, lots of information and good prices...prepared for dying fabrics too...check them out.

Thanks everyone. I'll look into it.

Dharma is a wonderful company and I am a loyal customer, but some of these products can be found for less when they go on sale at JoAnn's online. Worth watching anyway.

I use either Shiva paint stiks with a stencil or a brush. My next goal is to try Pigment ink in a bottle or a marker. You can view them at:
