To make napkins, take a 16" pizza pan. Draw around the pizza pan on newspaper, fold in half. This is your pattern to the 1/2 circle napkins. Place this on your fabric and cut out 4 napkins on 2 different coordinated fabrics. (4 half circles from each fabric). Place right sides together. Stitch with 1/4" seam. Leave 1 1/2" opening to turn. After turning, stitch around all edges 1/8" seam. Now you have 4 reversible napkins. Press. Fold from left about 4-5" , then accordian fold the rest to look like a Christmas tree. It takes about 1 yd of each fabric for the 4 napkins. Hope you enjoy the tute.

Would love to see a picture ... sounds easy to do. Thanks for the idea.

I've seen pictures of these and it just now dawned on me how to fold them to get them to look lik a Christmas tree. You have to start off center! Duh, bad brain, bad! I love your pizza pan idea, I have a large one that I think will work wonderfully.

The tute is at the first part of this thread. The link to picture is on page 2.

http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/elproje...log=Elprojects

this shows you how to make one and is a nice clear picture.

trish b 11-19-2010 03:08 PM

Thank you for the links. The last one from harvsstuff is best.

ewecansew 11-19-2010 03:20 PM

The download from lynbrown.com is only one page. The napkin is 16", but I do like the rick rack on the edge of the one from emblibrary.com (14 page download, yikes)

You have to be sure to NOT take the 'period' after the 'htm'. This is the actual link:

Thanks! These sound fun to make. Much better than doing that tiny little rolled edge.

Thanks! What a great idea!

This goes well with the 10 minute table runner also.

Here's some I made to match a tablerunner. Wish I had used one of the pinks instead of the green, but it was a kit and I didn't have enough. Made a total of 6 napkins.

I will have to make some with my gold material I bought just because it was too pretty to pass up. It will match my gold placemats I bought at a yardsale during the summer (they were brand new).

I made 4 napkins and a table runner this morning for me. It was a brown/gold holly leaf on cream I got at Walmart. They are so pretty.
