Okay everyone:
I received a call last night from a friend/co-worker saying she would like a doll quilt (like yesterday) for her DGD for Christmas. As you all know I had shoulder surgery in November and am still recouperating. So what I need is a simple & quick pattern or ideas please. I know I can do it if the pattern isn't to complicated. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |
You could make some small 4 patch blocks in cute colors.

Rail fence.

i had some raggedy Ann/Andy pillow panels i used, added borders, real cute

I second a cute panel like for pillows with a border.

I'd sew several 2" strips together, sew that into a tube, then cut the tube into 2" strips and sew them back together moving down one each time.

Tell her to come on over and you'll show her how to do it herself with material from your stash. Do you owe this lady a favor, even though your arm muscles may feel like they are on fire? Is she a REAL good friend?

Use a 4 patch with an alternate square of a favorite item -- sports, animals, food, sew together put border on, & the top is done.

I just finished a "cheater" panel for my great grandson's 1st birhdday. It was easy and turned out cute. It was Noah's Ark. He's too young to care, but all the adults thought I had created a master piece. I just did meandering quilting on the sewing machine. You can find great panels. I like to go to Hobby Lobby and search for their sale fabric. Eileen (Georgia)
