Looking for an easy pattern I can make for a friend. Would love to use scraps and lots of iron on applique as I can't do small pieces or embroidery.

First one I found with a free pattern. You could use it as a general guide and use fabric instead of felt.

Here's what I found with a quick Google:

The first one is great. Thanks. Question since I don't celebrate Christmas. The pattern is from Norway and they use 25 socks. How many do we do in the US.

Typically there are 25 items, one for each day of December from the 1st to 25th (Christmas Day)...Often the days are each done differently with the final one (Christmas Day) being the focal one (larger, more ornate, only one decorated, different shape maybe). They may be set up so each can contain a small treat (such as a peppermint candy) or instead they may be designed so that each one is in a big pocket at the bottom and can be inserted into a small pocket for each day. I have also seen ones that are just the cute design for each day.

I put mini reeses peanut butter cups in the pockets this year they were the perfect size.

You might even have a different treat in each pocket.
