Hope these help. I use a piece of fleece 11 inches by 19 inches and the 19 has to be on the stretch, when you pull on the fleece it will stretch more one way than the other.

fold in half and stitch the end together.

turn right side out and it is finished. You can ether leave the edges alone, wavy cut them, or hem them, I found if I hem them they like them better but be sure to use a stitch that will stretch.

Again Hope this helps.

Yesterday at Joanne's a lady choose school colored fleece and had the clerk cut them for her - most unusual esp. with the line waiting. They were to be gifts for cheerleaders. All she was going to do was trim selvage from both edges and make 6 inch cuts along both edges to fringe. Simple quick and at 50% off, very affordable for the whole swuad. I think she had the scarves cut in 9 inch pieces and WOF.

We were at a little bar and gril for an early supper on Fr. night and a lady brought in a bunch of fleece neck scarves she had sewn. She had them wrapped around a snow ski and carried the entire ski full of them in with her. She sold 6 or 7 of them in about 5 minutes. She made them with an opening to pull one end through and then had a pin/clip on the outside for a decoration. They were a hit. I was impressed with her display "rack."

I did this last year for my girls squad. I made 10 of them for less than $20 and the kids still use them and love them.

I am considering making them again in our new team colors.

One thing I learned was to use one of those fleece rulers to get exact 1" cuts.

The ones I made with the slits had two colors one on front and one on back and I sewed 1 seam down the middle of them to hold them together.

The ones on the ski "rack" that I saw were like a tube with an opening on one of the sides to pull the other side through it.. You could then adjust it to fit your neck or how loose you wanted it to be. These were NoT WOF. They were more like a fluffy collar to be tucked inside your coat or to be worn outside your coat over the collar. I did not buy one as I do not like stuff around my short, chubby neck.(Gold necklaces are an exception.)
