There was a post titled "Easy Quilt to Whip Up for a Gift". It's apparently been deleted. Not sure why. Does anybody know?

TIA

Did you check to see if it might have been moved to tutorials?

fatquarters 10-14-2011 04:21 PM

Hmmm, not sure, but I think it was called Creme Brule

Is it this one: easy 4 patch for a quick gift?

I thought it was just me. I was just looking for it too.

Maybe Copyright issues.

It's too bad the note doesn't tell us which moderator deleted it, then I could ask. :)

Dolphyngyrl 10-14-2011 04:31 PM

you could PM patrice and ask why, was it copyrighted maybe

GABBYABBY 10-14-2011 04:32 PM

I saved it in My Bookmarks and now I can not
find it anywhere!!! It was there earlier today
but when I just looked, it has been taken out.

Yes, I think someone tried to be helpful and posted copyrighted info. You can post a link, but not a scan or copy of the actual info.

Is this the quilt?

The first quilt link posted is from Quilts and More magazine Summer 2009. It designed by Gerri Robinson from Dublin, OH.
Nothing once posted online is never not there anymore. I'll keep looking.

I found several blogs that shows the layout of the strips how they are sewn. Easy. Just do a four strip rail fence with the last strip having a HST sewn to the end. I looked on Gerri Robinson's webstore and the pattern is not listed for sale.

isnthatodd put the link to the one i was liking.
i printed a pic of it because i intend to make one myself soon.

I believe the info was deleted.

I was able to print a copy of the directions and
picture of the quilt before they took it off.

snipforfun 10-15-2011 05:17 AM

The directions and layouts were something a person did on her EQ. I wonder what was wrong with her doing that? She was sharing what she did, not copying the magazine pattern.

stitchengramie 10-15-2011 05:29 AM

If your going to use a pattern or picture that is a copy write, you need to cite the authors name with the photo and pattern. As long as you give credit where credit is due there should not be any problem. This just the way I see it.

BellaBoo 10-15-2011 05:55 AM

I did the block using EQ7 picture import to EZ Draw. It showed the block being 4 strips with a HST sewn at the end of the last strip. There may be an a different way to construct the block but this way seems simple enough. It's the way the blocks construction in the blog pictures seem to be sewn too.

Did anyone ever find this photo? The pattern was called Creme Brulee, but it was in fall colors. It was very beautiful. I was sure I had it in my bookmarks also, but now it is gone.

Lucio 11-10-2011 10:09 AM

Someone posted directions for Creme Brule and it was deleted within minutes. I suspect that it was for copyright infringement but it would have been nice to receive an explanation as many many people wanted the pattern.

Liz92B 11-10-2011 10:42 AM

another flickr picture calls is Creme Brule but doesn't say where the pattern came from.

It is a nice pattern, shouldn't be too hard to just make one. I believe the pattern is 30% and the colors are 70% of many projects, so i'd love to see more variations.
