Echo free motion quilting foot

I just ordered and received my new Juki TL2010 sewing machine and was looking at this foot ($50 extra) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtueksVRH-0

It looks interesting, but you know how interesting everything looks on the computer, and since it is $50, I'd rather not make a mistake. Does anyone use one of these feet for either their Juki or any other machine for that matter? Does it work well for a beginner quilter, or does it still require the experience of a seasoned quilter to be successful with it.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

I have a 2010 too. It comes with two hopping feet. One has a slightly wider metal circle. I think it's for fluffy stuff, not certain. I use it when I want to echo quilt as a reference. That Echo foot is interesting. I would try the ones that come with it first before I decided to try this one for that price.

I've never seen a quilting foot like that before. I like it & like the fact that it is not a hopping foot.

I hadn't seen a foot like this until a couple of weeks ago. One came with my new Janome 8900, so that link is useful, thank you Schill93.

I think that foot may have been discussed in another thread.

It might be useful if you do s lot of eco quilting. However a regular free motion foot can do the same.

The thing that I noticed was how slowly the person who was quilting was going. That's how slow I have to go for echoing. I got the snap on echo rings for my machine, and I'm not very good with them. But I like how the Juki foot has the painted rings.

Are these what you are referring to?

I was considering these as an alternative, but feel they are more compatable with using with a ruler. Are you using them with rulers/templates?

I tried to use them without rulers, and it was pretty tedious.
