I am ready to start quilting on a quilt that has appiqued blocks with sashing all around. I would like to echo quilt around the objects BUT I haven't practiced my free-motion enough to be good at it. My question is: If I stitch in the ditch around the sashing, is it ok to echo quilt with the regular presser foot instead of the walking foot? My walking foot does not like curves and this one has lots of curves! Thanks in advance for any advice you experience folks can give me.

I've quilted with my regular presser foot...you'll be fine as long as you've done a *really* good basting...(basting spray is wonderful stuff!)

Thanks! That's what I was hoping you would say!

It's not something I have tried but I hear it works. Good luck.
