elevate the quilt to quilt it

Years back, on this site, there was instructions to 'hang' your quilt in order to not have drag. This was using a standard sewing machine. I hope someone can relay those instructions to me! I have a pic so you can sort of get my drift...
Thanks for your thoughts on this, Jan |
I believe it is Patsy Thompson that has a hanging system on her site.

I have a friend that used bungee cords hung from the ceiling. It works for her!

If you google you will find lots of hits on this.

Thanks You so much!!! That's it!! |
I must of been using all the wrong words! Thanks

I saw one on face book the other day made from a ironing cart (probably the wrong word) you set it near your ironing board to hang clothes on when ironing. Anyway the lady used that straddling the back of her sewing table then used bungee cords attached to the clamps used
to hold backing to the table for basting. The clamps have holes in the handles. Someone suggested that all was available at of course WalMart. Hope this helps. |

I put the end of my quilt over the belly bar or whatever the front bar is called and hold it with magnet strips as I mostly float my quilts. This keeps it from dragging for me.
