Elizabeth Studio Beach Kids fabric

Has anyone used this fabric in a quilt? I am going to make my new grand-daughter a quilt and I thought this fabric was so cute. I don't have any ideas of how to implement it, though.

I would fussy cut into 5" squares with a cute baby in the center of the charm. Then I would use them into the corner pieces of a disappearing 9 patch quilt pattern.

Warm Wishes with that fabric as the focus would be cute. If you wanted something harder, I would look for pieced blocks to alternate with the beach baby blocks.

My first thought is also Warm Wishes.

Do you think it would work if I cut the little kids out and used them as the centerpiece of a log cabin?

Sure it would work for the center of a Log Cabin. Put off white and creams for the light side and well washed reds for the dark?

A snowball block would work, too.

The quilt pattern called Walkabout would be cute in that fabric.

I just want to add how adorable that fabric is...Warm Wishes is my go to pattern for a quick project using a focus fabric.

I love fussy cut quilts. So be sure to purchase More than what you think you need! It'll be so sweet - have fun & let us see the big reveal :-)

Hope you already have the fabric as it says that they only have 1.5 yards left! If not you may be out of luck.

It is difficult to tell how large the little people are in the fabric pattern, how close together they are and what the repeat is. All those things are important when it comes to fussy cutting. I love the fabric and can see why you are so taken with it.

Adorable fabric, regardless of what you do with it.

Or an attic window quilt would be cute with these fussy cut squares. I made a Dogs at the Beach attic window quilt and it turned out cute.

I love the walkabout pattern too. It would be cute if you found some blue "Water" for an accent fabric and maybe some shell or sand as a coordinate . Yep that would work

Jane Quilter 02-25-2017 03:27 PM

It would make a great backing too.

This fabric is so cute!

That fabric is super cute. I would fussy cut in some way. I like the log cabin idea and I like the snowballed idea. I would also use it on the back. That fabric will always bring a smile.
