Elmer's Glue First Time
I haven't tried the Elmer's Washable Glue basting until this week. I glued the back to the batting on my pinning table, used my ratchets to make it tight, waited for it to dry, moved it to the top to do the same and later the bottom section. Then the next day I did the same with the top, gluing it to the batting. Ah, now I go upstairs to iron it just to make it perfect for quilting. Sadness, how, I don't know but there was a huge wrinkle in the middle of the back, I mean a 2 inch wrinkle that must have been two feet long. I have never had this issue pin basting, and I was frustrated because with pins I would unpin and redo. Today I showed my daughter, and she thought I might be exaggerating, but alas it was terrible. She suggested rewetting it and straightening it out. So squirt bottle in hand I soak the area, pulled the back from the batting, straighten it out, take it upstairs and iron it dry. HEY it worked!!!! Now I am ready to quilt.
