Elmer's glue stick or liquid
So I love using the washable elmer's glue and I use the glue stick for my applique and bias tape but I use the liquid for my binding. I am starting a new quilt and I will be doing extensive piecing for it where I want to make sure everything matches up perfect and I'm thinking I am going to use glue instead of pins.
Would you use the liquid or the glue stick? What are the pros and cons to each. I keep on going back and forth as to what would be better. You don't need an iron for the glue stick and it stays put just as well...but I might be able to be a little more accurate with the liquid. Opinions please. Thanks, Yael |
Whatever works best for YOU. Some swear by liquid and others swear by stick.
I've never tried matching seams with glue. I use pins...just personal preference. I think glue sticks would be less messy when you are piecing but it's really up to you. As we say...there is no rule. |
I am much more exact using liquid. Maybe do a couple of sample blocks -- one each way and see which turns out the best.
